Script Reports for Screenwriters

If you’ve written a feature length screenplay and need some feedback, I can offer a comprehensive report on your script. The report itself is written specifically for the writer to use as a tool to identify both the strengths and the problematic elements within the script, providing him/her with a starting point for redrafting.

What’s in the Report?

The Report itself is (on average) 4-6 A4 pages in length, and is divided into 8 different sections.

  • Synopsis

  • Premise

  • Structure

  • Character

  • Dialogue

  • Pace

  • Visual Grammar

  • Conclusion

The synopsis is a straight forward summary of the plot intended to reveal exactly how the story unfolds for the reader, whilst the other sections are specific analysis on those elements of the script. The conclusion is both a summary of the other sections and an evaluation of the script as a whole.

How do I know you know what you’re talking about?

I’ve completed both the ‘Script Reading‘ and the ‘Script Development 101‘ courses at the Script Factory in London. I have been tutored by Jonny Brown and Kate Leys.

I have written reports for Tornado Films and Fiction Factory Films. I have also given feedback to writers in development meetings for Tornado Films.

Additionally, I have graduated from the Skillset Screen Academy Wales with an MA in Film Producing & Business Management (merit).

How much does it cost?

A report costs £40. It’s a low introductory price as I have no overheads to cover at the moment. The script must be no longer than 120 pages in length and can be sent either electronically or a hard copy through the post. Depending on how busy I am, I can often turnaround the report in less than 7 days, please email me for more information or if you have any questions.
